Senior Counsel

Simon Sidamon-EristoffSimon Sidamon-Eristoff is American Farmland Trust’s senior counsel, a position he has held since 2010. A member of the tax-exempt organizations practice group at Kalbian Hagerty LLP, he advises AFT and other clients on nonprofit corporate governance, land conservation transactions, tax issues, contracts, legislative activities and charitable donations. Sidamon-Eristoff served on AFT's general counsel from 1998 to 2010. He was a member of the staff of AFT for seven years before joining Kalbian Hagerty. He has also worked as a staff attorney for the Trust for Public Land and for the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy.

He holds an A.B. degree from Princeton University, a law degree from Columbia University School of Law, and has been admitted to the bar in New York and the District of Columbia. He currently serves on boards for several non-profit organizations, including the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Oceana and the Sustainable Development Institute.
