Bus Tours

Saving the Bluegrass

This tour will head out on the Kentucky Scenic Byway and showcase rural equine, cattle and diversified farms preserved by Bluegrass Conservancy and Fayette County’s celebrated Purchase of Development Rights program. Participants will be wined and dined during a visit to Jean Farris Winery and Bistro.

Urban, Bourbon and Brew

This tour will highlight the city of Lexington’s arts and urban agriculture including visits to two city farms, Seedleaf and FoodChain (an aquaponics farm in a brewing complex), and lunch at National Boulangerie. A final stop at the new craft brewery, West Sixth Brewing Company, is a perfect way to end the day. In addition, walking tours will be offered to showcase the city's arts and entertainment, farmers market, and adaptive reuse and mixed-use development areas.
