DIrector of Media relations
As Director of Media Relations, Jennifer Morrill develops and implements strategic communications plans, serves as the primary press liaison for AFT in both trade and consumer publications, and works on AFT’s U.S. farm policy campaign.
Previously, Morrill served as the director of communications at the Farm Credit Council and the U.S. Grains Council, where she established new communications approaches, managed media strategy, was responsible for major projects such as the U.S. Grains Council's international name change, and produced a number of award-winning publications. She also brings expertise in consumer, food safety and nutrition issues through her tenure as a Cornell Cooperative Extension agent and as a production manager with the Marriott Corporation.
Morrill is a board member of the American Agricultural Editors’ Association (AAEA) and a trustee and executive committee member of AAEA’s Professional Improvement Foundation. In addition, she volunteers with El Hogar de los Niños, a 501 c3 foundation in California that works to improve conditions for orphaned children in Nicaragua. She is a 1987 graduate of Cornell University and holds a master’s degree in public communication from the American University.
