Tom BullerExecutive Director, Kansas Rural Center
Tom Buller is the horticulture extension agent for K-State Research and Extension- Douglas County, Kansas. He has served in that role since 2017.
He also owns and operates a small-scale vegetable farm and has been growing vegetables organically in the Kansas River Valley since 2006. He co-authored “Growing Under Cover: A Kansas Grower’s Guide” and “Growing Over Cover: A Kansas Specialty Crop Grower’s Guide to Cover Crops” with partners at the Kansas Rural Center and K-State Research and Extension.
Tom was the founding president of the Kansas City Food Hub, a farmers’ owned cooperative and currently serves as the organization’s Secretary. Tom’s holds a B.A. degree in Geography and Latin American Area Studies from the University of Kansas and a M.A. degree in Geography from the University of Minnesota.
