Biography

Originally from Massachusetts, Bo started farming in 2008 and moved to Maine in 2010 to attend College of the Atlantic. He has participated both in the apprenticeship and Journey Person programs and is excited to facilitate these at MOFGA. He recently farm managed at Kennebec Valley Community College where he trained beginning farmers in growing diversified vegetables and pasture raised livestock including sheep, chickens, cattle, and pigs. He received his MS in Sustainable Food Systems from Green Mountain College where he explored improving programs for beginning farmers. Bo strives to reduce barriers for new and aspiring farmers in accessing hands-on agricultural education. Bo now raises Katahdin hair sheep on pasture in Monroe with his partner and dogs.
