Biography

April manages the communications and outreach strategies for AFT’s Midwest programs and the Illinois Sustainable Agriculture Partnership. She also helps lead AFT’s Women for the Land initiative, soil health education, and watershed development. She previously served as AFT’s annual and special giving coordinator where she was lead contact for the EarthShare CFC campaign. Before joining AFT, April served as program director at North Central Conservancy Trust, where she published a magazine spread featuring landowner easement donors’ stories. Before that, she served as county planner for Wood County Planning and Zoning in Wisconsin, where she instilled a park and recreation plan for the Village of Hewitt, Wisconsin. April holds a Bachelor of Science in natural resource planning and soil health from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
