Biography

Jake is a Midwest Conservation Technician working closely with NRCS on the Vermilion Headwaters Watershed Project. Before joining AFT, he spent 10 years in the hospitality and tourism industry, mainly restaurants and hotels throughout the Chicagoland area. His most recent years have been spent researching and developing sustainable housing using geodesics and biotech using mycology. He’s always been fascinated with how efficient nature is. Having a culinary background, that interest eventually shifted to agriculture. Jake grew up in Streator, IL, and enjoys golfing and fishing. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Roosevelt University.
