John joined American Farmland Trust in May of 2023. He is the Case Study Conservation Agronomist for the Midwest Region. John grew up on a small dairy farm in northeastern Iowa and attained his bachelor’s degree from Loras College. Previously, he worked as parts manager at two farm implement dealerships. John is based in Colesburg, Iowa, where he also farms with his wife and children.
