Rachel is the Mid-Atlantic Farmer Outreach Associate and supports farming networks and programs in the region. Before joining AFT, Rachel worked in food system grantmaking at the Posner Foundation of Pittsburgh and worked as a Data Analyst for The Center for Regional Agriculture, Food, and Transformation (CRAFT) at Chatham University. Prior to living in Pennsylvania, Rachel served in AmeriCorps for two terms, and worked in food access, sustainable agriculture, and regional food system development in southeast Ohio. Rachel has a Masters in Food Studies from Chatham University’s Falk School of Sustainability, and her thesis research explored U.S. federal farm policy in the early 1900s.
