Scott FranklinSoutheast Regenerative Agriculture Program Manager
Scott leads AFT’s effort to incentivize farmers to grow cover crops that improve profitability, soil health, and environmental quality. He is especially engaged in recruiting farms to grow cereal rye for Kentucky’s bourbon, brewing, and baking industries. Before joining AFT, Scott managed commercial grain and vegetable farms across the North and Southeast with an emphasis on building healthier soils and organic management. Prior to the start of his farming career, Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies with a concentration in plant and soil science.
