Emeran assists with all of the written materials that AFT releases, providing editing and creative support. Previously, she worked as the AFT New England Communication and Outreach Coordinator. Prior to joining AFT, Emeran worked as a Qualitative Data Specialist for The Center for Regional Agriculture, Food, and Transformation (CRAFT) at Chatham University. In this role, she developed the Western Pennsylvania Foodways Collection, an oral history archive of stories about food and agriculture in Western Pennsylvania. Emeran holds a Masters in Food Studies, emphasizing rural food systems and audio narrative storytelling from Chatham University’s Falk School of Sustainability. Emeran also co-founded Dinner Bell magazine, a small food writing publication.
