Chantel is the Senior Program Manager for the Pacific Northwest region. While growing up in Alaska, her family raised their own livestock and grew garden crops in order to supplement expensive imported groceries. Childhood experiences, coupled with eight years in the 4-H program, set Chantel on a path of working at the intersection of food access and farm support.

She has worked with local food systems in Central Oregon, advocated for greater food access for those in affordable housing, and taught educational programs for rice farmers in Madagascar. She currently serves on the leadership team for the Oregon Community Food Systems Network and holds a Masters in Development Practice from the University of Arizona, where she focused on monitoring and evaluation of on-farm education in Myanmar.
