Erica Goodman leads national efforts to connect a new generation of farmers with farmland as Farms for a New Generation Director, following roles as Deputy Director and then Director of American Farmland Trust’s New York Regional program. She worked as Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships at FoodCorps. Throughout her career, Erica has fostered collaborative partnerships and led engagement strategies, including a previous stint with AFT’s national communications team, and before that, managing a $1.2 million grant portfolio at the United States Golf Association. Since 2016, Erica has served as representative-at-large for urban, suburban, and rural non-farm interests on the New York State Soil and Water Conservation Committee and serves on the National Advisory Council for Annie’s Project. Erica grew up on a family dairy farm in upstate New York, where she saw firsthand the challenges and opportunities of generational transition. Erica completed undergraduate work at Middlebury College and holds a Master of Arts in mass communications research from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
