Providence Farm Collective team

Providence Farm Collective is represented by Beth Leipler (she/her) and Mahamud (Mo) Mberwa (he/him). 

Beth has worked as the Farm Director at Providence Farm Collective (PFC) since it’s inception in 2019. She oversees farm programming and operations including PFC’s Incubator Farm Program and Community Plot Program. Prior to working at PFC she owned and operated a 6-acre organic vegetable farm, managed a refugee urban farming project, and served as an agricultural volunteer through the Peace Corps in Madagascar.

 

Mahamud (Mo) is a cofounder of the Somali Bantu Community Farm and Providence Farm Collective. He works as PFC’s Farm Mentor, assisting farmers with mentorship, education, and access to resources as they develop their farms. Mo also is an incubator farmer at PFC, operating Bwedo Farm, fa successful heritage broiler operation and small-scale diversified vegetable farm.
