Biography

Terence Duvall is the Conservation and Agricultural Projects Associate at the Columbia Land Conservancy.  Based in New York’s Hudson Valley, Terence works with CLC’s Land Protection Team to conserve farmland and increase farmland access for farmers.  He manages the Farmland Access, Resources, and Matching (FARM) Program that helps farmers explore conservation easements and other affordability tools to purchase farmland, provides one-on-one consultations and an annual Down to Earth Workshop Series to increase farm viability, and facilitates leases between farmers and landowners in order to support the local farm system through secure land tenure. Terence received his MS in Environmental Policy from the Bard Center for Environmental Policy where he focused on food security issues and farmland protection.  He is enthusiastic about this opportunity to support the county’s agricultural and open spaces for this and future generations. Whenever he can, Terence enjoys backpacking, building trails, and staying outside.
