After 20 years milking cows, raising pigs, cutting timber and tapping maple trees—“we sold our farm and got real jobs.” John Berry has been with Penn State Extension since 1997. As an agricultural marketing educator, most of his time is spent working on marketing and financial management issues. He has been around novice farmer education and training, both as a novice farmer and with Extension. John holds an AAS in dairy science, a BS in animal science, an MBA, has completed an Executive Food Marking Program and is a certified farm business transition coordinator. Penn State Extension is launching a new business transition / business management succession program in fall 2017.
