Biography

Renewing the Countryside (RTC) strengthens rural areas by championing and supporting rural communities, farmers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators, activists and other people who are renewing the countryside through sustainable and innovative initiatives, businesses, and projects. We do this by sharing stories of rural renewal, building awareness and support for sustainable endeavors, connecting people interested in sustainable development to each other, providing practical assistance and networking opportunities for those working to improve rural American, and fostering connections between urban and rural people.

Renewing the Countryside is represented by Bonnie Warndahl (she/her).

Bonnie Warndahl is owner and operator of Winnowburrow Farm & Florals, a small sustainable cut flower farm, home-based floral design studio, and agritourism business in Colfax, Wisconsin (near Menomonie–Eau Claire). She also works as a freelance writer and joined the Farmland Access Hub in February of 2022 as a Farmland Access Navigator. Bonnie has a decade of experience personally navigating land-access systems and strives to use her relevant knowledge to assist transitioning farmers by providing support and guidance to help them meet their goals.
