Biography

Dana is a Sr. Project Manager for AFT’s CSCP Carbon Neutral Beef and Mid-Atlantic Regenerate VA projects. Before joining American Farmland Trust, Dana worked for Cornell Cooperative Extension as the Agriculture Team Leader for Cortland County where she led and managed a variety of local, regional, and state teams and projects in response to identified needs of the agricultural community. While not a farmer herself, she has worked throughout New York State on and with farms since 2008 – working farmers markets, harvesting, farm caretaking, and founding a regional organization that supports small ruminant fiber producers. Assisting in efforts to keep all farms viable and in active collaboration with the environment and climate is what drives Dana, giving her a sense of fulfillment in being able to contribute to important and timeless needs. Dana holds a Journeymen’s card from the NYC District Council of Carpenters, a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from SUNY Buffalo, and a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Applied Economics from Cornell University.
