Eric joined the American Farmland Trust’s Smart Solar team in July of 2023. Prior to joining AFT, he started and grew a solar grazing contracting business in Virginia. Eric attended Montana State University where he studied Animal Science before spending time on several large range-based cattle and sheep ranches throughout the American West. He helped design and execute the first utility-scale grazing project in the state of Virginia and has consulted on multiple projects in development to accommodate agrivoltaics in the design phase.
