Biography

Megan led the establishment of AFT’s Project Management Division, internally known as the Project Management Team (PMT) in 2022. She currently oversees day-to-day PMT activities, organizational planning in accordance with multi-year award agreements, and related systematic improvements to effectively advise Executive Leadership on portfolio and financial strategies. In collaboration with the PMT, she is equally responsible for developing, governing, and continuously evolving project management methodologies across the organization. Preceding the PMT, Megan reported to the Vice President of Programs as the Regional Project Manager to lead complex, cross-divisional projects within AFT’s Regional Programs.

Before joining AFT, Megan served in the United States Marine Corps during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) as part of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) campaign. Finding a passion for transformational leadership, tactical vs. strategic decision making, and process modeling to accomplish the overarching mission. During that time, she was accountable for 245 Marines, 327 individual programs, and $24.3 million in supporting DoD assets; enabling her propensity for constant operational readiness.

Megan is a first-generation farmer and owner of Side Step Farms. Dedicated to supporting the long-term viability of agriculture by facilitating sustainable food sources, increasing Michigan biodiversity, and educating locals on the importance of ecological land management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology Project Management / Information Security with Highest Honors from Davenport University and four Lean Six Sigma certifications. She is currently enrolled in a Master of Professional Studies in Project Management with a Graduate Certificate in Lean and Agile Practices from Georgetown University.
