Megan Marsteller

Biography

Megan works alongside the Vice President of Programs to support AFT’s seven Regional Programs by overseeing division project plans, leveraging information systems, maintaining control of the triple constraint, and developing PM standards across the organization. Before joining AFT, she served in the United States Marine Corps where she found a passion for charismatic leadership. During that time, she was accountable for 245 Marines, 327 individual programs, and $24.3 million in supporting DoD assets. More recently, Megan worked in the Project Management Office for Davenport University before moving to West Michigan to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a first-generation farmer, and owner of Side Step Farms with her wife. She also serves as the Vice President of West Michigan S.A.I.L., a nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce Veteran suicides by providing camaraderie focused sailing courses to those with PTS, TBI, and other life challenges. Megan holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology Project Management / Information Security with Highest Honors from Davenport University, four Lean Six Sigma certifications, and is currently enrolled in a Master of Professional Studies in Project Management / Lean and Agile Practices from Georgetown University.
