Melanie joined American Farmland Trust in March of 2023. She supports the efforts of AFT’s Development Team ensuring they have the products, tools and information they need to grow and strengthen relationships with donors. Melanie is very involved with her community and has volunteered with local non-profit organizations for nearly two decades. Prior to joining AFT, she worked as a substitute teacher with the local school district and as an Electronics Engineer with the Naval Research Laboratory. She received her Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from the University of Maryland. In her free time, Melanie enjoys time with her four children and loves any activity that allows her to be active and outdoors.
