Women for the Land Southeast Regional Grant

American Farmland Trust’s Women for the Land (WFL) program is excited to announce our pilot transformational grants program. The program aims to help farmers launch, grow, and sustain their operations in the face of forces impacting food and agricultural systems like the COVID-19 pandemic, changing markets, severe weather, and climate change.

This grant is intended to leverage other resources (either in-kind from the farmer or other private or public funds) and make a difference for a farmer to:

Improve farm viability
Access, transfer, or permanently protect farmland
Adopt regenerative farming practices and increase resilience to climate change

Award Amount & Eligible Applicants

One grant of $20,000 will be awarded. Funding for this program is limited. There may be more opportunities to fund a project of this scope in the future. Applications will be kept in the likelihood of receiving future funds to support expansion.
