Redline Farms is a dairy farm owned by Tracy Stanko with his parents James and Marveen, and North Gage Farms is a dairy farm owned by James and Marveen Stanko, both located in Deerfield, New York. The Stanko family was awarded a Dairy Forward microgrant for permanently protecting land through American Farmland Trust and Chobani. The combined 321-acre farm currently supports 120 head of mature dairy cows. In addition to milk, the farm raises alfalfa, corn, and silage on the farm. The farm also does some corn and forage production on neighboring rented farmland. Redline Farms recently added a new free-stall and double-eight parlor to accommodate their growing herd. The Stankos are working with Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust and attorneys at Scolaro Fetter Grizanti and McGough, P.C. to protect their farm property. Permanently protecting their land is a crucial step to keep the land in agriculture and finance the expansion of the farm to improve viability.
