Advancing Climate Resilience with Women Ranchers in Northeast Oregon

Funded by an Oregon Conservation Innovation Grant from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, this project brings AFT's innovative Women for the Land Learning Circle programming to women ranchers and ranchland owners in Northeast Oregon (particularly Baker, Union, and Wallowa Counties) to advance soil health and ranch resilience.

Empowering women in ranching with useful tools and tactics, including USDA NRCS resources related to soil quality and climate resilience, not only makes their ranches less vulnerable but provides models for adoption of agricultural conservation practices that can be utilized by women in agriculture and ranching across the state.
