We’re Hiring! Help AFT Keep California Agriculture Viable and Climate Resilient

As AFT tackles challenges in the nation’s top food-producing state, our California team is expanding to support diverse farmers with their economic viability and climate resilience despite a historic drought and strict water restrictions.

These three positions will be integral contributors to AFT’s ambitious San Joaquin Valley Land and Water StrategyFarms for a New Generation national program, and Soil Health Bottom Line programs in San Joaquin Valley, Central California, and Southern California. It’s a great opportunity to help protect California farmland, accelerate regenerative agricultural practices, and conserve groundwater resources among a wide variety of farming communities. We are seeking three passionate and knowledgeable people to join our team in California:

Spanish Outreach Specialist (Central Valley, Central Coast, Inland Empire, or Coachella Valley of California)

This bilingual position (Spanish-English) will help farmers address social, economic, and environmental challenges.

Conservation Technician (Central Valley, CA)

This bilingual position (Spanish, Hmong, or Lao) is a field-based role that engages farmers in adopting regenerative farming practices to protect environmental quality and respond to climate change.

Water Resources Specialist (Central Valley, CA)

This specialist helps a multi-disciplinary team deliver AFT’s outreach, research, policy, and technical assistance programs that support regenerative agriculture, groundwater recharge, and farmland protection across the state.
