Join AFT staff in celebrating the completion of our 5-year national cover crop demonstration trial project, where we will share our lessons learned alongside soil, economic, and social data. This trial included 14 farms from across the country, addressing a variety of regional cover crop establishment or termination challenges. The webinar will include:
A project design overview and lessons learned by principal investigators, Bianca Moebius-Clune, Climate & Soil Health Director, and Michelle Perez, Senior Liaison of Research & On-the-ground Practice.
An overview of our data collection methods for soils, economic, and social data by Aysha Tapp Ross, Soil Health & Microbial Scientist and Project Lead.
Presentations by each of our on-the-ground state leads on trial design, lessons learned, and their state-specific soil and economic results, with contributions from Robert Ellis, Agricultural Economist.
Ellen Yeatman, Senior Social Scientist, will share key takeaways from the overall social results based on farmer surveys and focus groups conducted throughout this project.
