Texas Grazing Network Women's Learning Circle
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Where: Regen Ranch in Leon County, TX
Join us at Regen Ranch for a Women for the Land Learning Circle "Hoof to Plate: Connecting Grazing Practices to Food Preparation" hosted by rancher and TGN mentor Christine Martin. Together, we’ll walk the pastures and look closely at the decisions she is making to improve the land. We’ll explore grazing strategies, integrating poultry, and how plant communities respond over time. We’ll connect what we see on the ground to the bigger picture, including how these choices influence the quality of the food we raise and share. Then we’ll gather in the on-site kitchen for a hands-on look at nutrient rich foods and drinks that support everyday health. This learning circle is designed to be practical, conversational, and grounded in experience. Come ready to observe, ask questions, and learn alongside other women working with the land.
The women learning circles are a peer-to-peer learning model meant to create a brave space for women and BIPOC farmers and ranchers to build knowledge, share experiences, and strengthen ranch operations while supporting healthy ecosystems. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. We will be outside the for a good portion of the time if the weather is nice, so be sure to wear comfortable clothes and boots to walk through the pasture. We also ask that you bring a tangible item that connects you to the land during our group introductions.
Please note that registration is required, but space is limited. If selected, you’ll receive a notification and a travel stipend post-event to help with costs.
