Webinar for Texas Farm Service Providers: Spring 2026 Agrivoltaics Training Preview
American Farmland Trust (AFT) is launching a new training program to help agriculture and conservation professionals in North and Central Texas understand the emerging opportunities in agrivoltaics—the intentional co-location of solar energy development and agriculture on the same land
Over the next two years, selected participants will receive free training and resources to strengthen their ability to guide landowners and producers navigating these opportunities.
While the training primarily targets professionals working directly with producers and landowners in Texas, anyone interested in agrivoltaics is encouraged to join the introductory webinar to learn more.
This session will include:
An overview of the training program, timeline, and how to apply
A primer on agrivoltaics, AFT's Smart Solar℠ principles, and ASGA's work in this space.
A live Q&A with project partners
Speakers include:
Garrett Bader, Texas Smart Solar Specialist at AFT
Austin Kinzer, Agrivoltaics Senior Technical Specialist at AFT
Kevin Richardson, Senior Director of the American Solar Grazing Association (ASGA)
