“American Farmland Trust applauds the selection of Rod Snyder as agriculture advisor to the Environmental Protection Agency Administrator. As a member of Field to Market, AFT has witnessed Rod’s commitment to the continued improvement of agriculture’s environmental outcomes while also protecting and enhancing farmers’ livelihoods. At the EPA, Rod will provide a bridge between environmental and agricultural goals as we tackle climate change and simultaneously work to produce more food for a growing population. He has the knowledge required to understand how EPA policies will affect farmers and ranchers and the credibility with both environmental and agricultural communities needed to effect the change necessary to reduce agricultural emissions and build resiliency as we confront the impacts of climate change to the production of food, fuel and fiber.”
