Andrea Solazzo
Senior Manager of External Affairs, New England
Andrea brings over 15 years of experience in food systems advocacy, grassroots organizing, and legislative work. Her career spans from partnering with La Vía Campesina at UN climate change conferences to facilitating community-driven initiatives at Vermont Foodbank, directing statewide gleaning partnerships with 80+ farms, and designing community-led grantmaking programs centered on lived experience. Andrea has extensive experience building coalitions around regional food systems and bringing diverse stakeholders together to advance shared goals. Her communications approach focuses on making big-picture policy issues accessible through the real stories of those most impacted, while her leadership style emphasizes shared power and developing staff strengths to meet organizational goals.
Andrea lives in Burlington, Vermont near Lake Champlain with her family, surrounded by a wonderful community of friends. In her free time, you'll find her cooking dinner parties while listening to public radio, walking in the woods with friends, spending time at local farms and biking with her family.
