Anelkis works with program colleagues to raise financial support from foundations, government, and other organization sources for AFT’s national and regional programs. She previously served as AFT’s program assistant. Before joining AFT, Anelkis worked as a planning intern for the City of Newberry, Florida, where she assisted the city with GIS mapping for their Rails-to-Trails project and a part-time assistant on government proposals. Anelkis earned a Master of Arts in urban and regional planning from the University of Florida with an emphasis in Housing and Economic Development.
