Ashlea provides direct support to AFT’s efforts to bring a new generation of farmers onto New York farmland and Farm to Institution New York State with a focus on events, trainings, outreach, and communications. Before joining AFT, Ashlea worked at internships with the Wildlife Conservation Society Adirondack Program and Madison County Agriculture Economic Development. She conducted research on wildlife-friendly farming practices and conservation priorities in the Adirondack Park, agritourism in New York state, and undergraduate food insecurity. Ashlea holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University in environmental studies and biology.
