Midwest Soil Health Specialist
Casey works with retailers, producers, and landowners to advance the adoption of conservation agricultural practices. Before AFT, Casey worked as a research and teaching assistant at Southern Illinois University, focusing on cover crop and nutrient management, soil health, and agricultural ecosystem services. Before attending graduate school, he had various roles at various agricultural operations in Madison, WI, producing vegetables and hops. He received his Master of Science in Soil Science from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Edgewood College in Madison, WI. Outside work, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and gardening.
