Urban Agriculture Specialist
Charline joined American Farmland Trust in May of 2023. Their primary responsibilities include outreach, community building, and conducting technical assistance for American Farmland Trust, USDA’s Farm Service Agency and Natural Resources Conservation Service. Charline is the first generation to be born in the United States in their family. They were raised in New England where they also earned their bachelor’s degree at Massachusetts College of Art and Design for Education and Sculpture.
They have stayed in Eastern Massachusetts since and has been vegetable, herb and flower farming in urban and peri-urban spaces, growing medicine with friends, and supporting mutual aid food distribution. Prior to joining the AFT team, Charline has worked in multicultural and multigenerational spaces using Art, Curriculum, Food and Facilitation to connect and support under-supported growers and cultural crop distribution.
