Charlotte Hamilton

Oregon Farm Planner

Charlotte Hamilton (she/her) is the Oregon Farm Planner for Linn, Benton, and Polk counties. She has been farming in the Willamette Valley since 2018 on small, organic vegetable farms as well as operating her own medicinal herb and cut flower farm. Her journey in development and agriculture began in 2013 working in Nicaragua, where she acted as liaison and assistant to the Apiculture and Agriculture Project Managers of Nuevas Esperanzas, UK, working with farmers and community members to diversify crops, improve water access, and establish a beekeeper cooperative. She has been a Seed to Supper instructor for the Oregon Food Bank, and in 2017 interned with Rogue Farm Corps in the Beginning Urban Farmers Apprenticeship program.


She studied Agriculture and Horticulture at Linn-Benton Community College while graduating from The Evergreen State College with a BA in Sustainable Community Development and Agriculture in 2019. Charlotte is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys connecting and supporting producers and community members in a myriad of ways. When not working, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her son, backpacking, being on the rivers, climbing, and being out in the garden. She lives in Albany, Oregon.
