David is responsible for creating opportunities to implement AFT’s programs in Idaho, with particular emphasis on agricultural preservation in the Magic and Treasure Valleys. He is a fifth-generation Idahoan with direct experience working on both a family ranch and one of the larger certified organic farms serving the Boise metro area. David serves on the Board of Directors for the not-for-profit Idaho Center for Sustainable Agriculture that is currently focused on developing a Farmer Learning Network to support member transition to regenerative practices. He has over 30 years of experience with land entitlement, environmental stewardship, natural resource conservation, and ecological restoration. He enjoys growing his own fresh ingredients and preparing healthy meals for friends and family. David has a Bachelor of Science in Hydrology from the University of Arizona.
