Climate Solutions Implementation Specialist
Deborah has a passion for dairy farming and the entertaining antics of livestock. She grew up in the Midwest and has worked on farms in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Washington, including as a farm manager at a small dairy and creamery. COVID-19 brought her back to New England, where she has spent the past few years as Operations Manager with the Food Connects Food Hub in Brattleboro, Vermont, coordinating regional food distribution. She holds a B.A. from Eckerd College in Anthropology and International Relations and a M.S. from Arizona State University in Sustainable Food Systems. She has focused on farmers’ adaptations to changes in climate and on improving program effectiveness through evaluation and monitoring. She loves backpacking on the Appalachian Trail in her free time, reading and writing fiction, and playing in her garden.
