Delaney Farkas

Delaney Farkas is an Associate Portfolio Manager for the California (CA) and Pacific Northwest (PNW) divisions. In this role, she provides strategic financial oversight across a diverse portfolio of corporate and federally funded initiatives to advance AFT’s mission.

Delaney oversees divisional budgets, ensuring that funding allocations align with project goals, timelines, and organizational priorities. By analyzing spending trends and remaining balances, she helps division directors understand how financial performance correlates with programmatic initiatives and guides strategic decision-making around the timing and pacing of expenditures. She also plays a critical role in high-level portfolio oversight, monitoring total funding availability, forecasting spend-down strategies, and supporting leadership in maximizing the impact and compliance funding.

Delaney has experience in building and supporting sustainable agricultural networks with a B.S. in Agricultural Business and Sustainable agriculture from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. She is currently pursuing an M.S. in Agriculture with a concentration in Bioresources and Agricultural Systems. With the growing population and dwindling natural resources, Delaney is dedicated to exploring new and old agricultural technologies, practices, and regulations to promote an equitable system for all.
