Emeran oversees all of the communication and outreach for AFT’s New England office. Prior to joining AFT, Emeran worked as a Qualitative Data Specialist for The Center for Regional Agriculture, Food, and Transformation (CRAFT) at Chatham University. In this role she developed the Western Pennsylvania Foodways Collection, an oral history archive of stories about food and agriculture in Western Pennsylvania. Emeran also worked as Outreach Manager for Churchview Farm, an urban farm in Pittsburgh, where she organized and led all of the agritourism and on-farm events. Emeran holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Visual Art from Hanover College and a Masters in Food Studies with an emphasis in rural food systems and audio narrative storytelling from Chatham University’s Falk School of Sustainability. Emeran also co-founded Dinner Bell magazine, a small food writing publication.
