Texas Grazing Mentor Manager
Evart joined American Farmland Trust in 2024. In this role, he oversees and supports the Grazing Mentor program outreach and training efforts with producer mentors in Texas. Evart was born and raised in Texas, where he grew up in a farming and ranching family, and he now resides near San Antonio with his wife and children. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Systems Management from Texas A&M University and his Master's in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas. Evart is a veteran, having spent 20 years in the Air Force. Before joining AFT, he was an instructor for a beginning farmer & rancher training program. He advised and supported program participants preparing to begin their farming journeys. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Farmer Veteran Coalition of Texas chapter, and with the help of his family, he runs a small ranch where he raises goats and cattle using regenerative farming methods.
