Biography

Gabi is Mid-Atlantic Crops Specialist, focusing on advancing soil health and regenerative agriculture on cropland in the region. She joins the team in promoting equitable land access and transfer, farm viability, profitability, and resilience. She lives in Silver Spring, MD on the ancestral lands of the Piscataway peoples, and when she is able, farms vegetables and supports her parents with their small beef cattle herd. Prior to joining AFT, Gabi implemented farmer-led education as Events Director with Future Harvest in the Mid-Atlantic and as Program Director with the Ecological Farming Association in California. In the past, she worked with peanut farmers in northern Haiti, promoted US agriculture in Morocco, and completed her M.S. research from Cornell with farmers and small business owners in the Dominican Republic.
