
Jillian Marsden
Illinois Farmland Protection Specialist
Jillian advances farmland protection programs in the Chicago region through education, outreach, and direct technical assistance with land trusts and landowners. She also works to promote the overall awareness and adoption of the ACEP-ALE agricultural easement program. Prior to joining AFT, Jillian worked as a project manager and coordinated wetlands restoration in accordance with federal programs. In another role, Jillian contributed to the acquisition and stewardship of farms and conservation lands with Openlands, a regional land trust based in Chicago. Jillian holds a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University Bloomington in Environmental and Sustainability Studies, with a concentration in Sustainable Food Systems.
