Joel Tatum
Senior Solar Specialist
Joel Tatum joins American Farmland Trust as the organization's first Midwest Solar Specialist, where he will play a key role in implementing AFT's strategy at the intersection of solar energy generation and farmland conservation, primarily in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa. Joel is a Missouri native with 20 years of experience in the agriculture industry. He joins AFT from Harvest Energy Solutions, a solar energy company serving the Midwest, where he developed a successful sales team with over $5 million in annual sales.
Joel lives with his wife and three daughters in Poplar Bluff, MO. They manage a cow-calf operation on Joel's family farm. In Joel's free time, he enjoys taking care of his horses and has been active in amateur, college, and professional rodeo (PRCA) since the age of 16, riding saddle broncs and roping.
