Karisa Centanni
Senior Philanthropy Officer
Karisa grows and strengthens relationships with donors throughout New York State to advance AFT’s mission and diverse programming further. Before joining AFT, Karisa served as the Biodynamic Association’s development director, where she developed a fundraising strategy that strengthened multiple grassroots annual appeals and approaches, formalized mid-level and major gifts programs, and stewarded a robust foundation and corporate support network. Before that, she supported major gifts and communications teams at UMass Amherst. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Western MA Chapter. She is a trained and passionate biodynamic farmer, orchardist, and horticulturist, and she hopes to grow a large garden, build biodynamic compost, steward a small orchard, and care for livestock with her extended family in Upstate New York. Karisa received her undergraduate degrees in English, fine arts (photography), and Russian from SUNY Buffalo.
