Kathie Lwanga
Executive Assistant to the President
Kathie performs administrative duties for the president, coordinates all Board of Directors meetings and activities, and supervises many operations at AFT’s national office. Before her current position, Kathie worked as an assistant to the Land Protection, Development, and Public Education departments and as executive assistant to the vice president of programs. Before joining AFT, Kathie worked for an appraisal company and a home health agency. She was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda, and educated in Nairobi, Kenya.
