Kirsten produces AFT’s print publications, including AFT’s award-winning membership newsletter and content. She previously served as communications coordinator for AFT’s Northeast office and was the primary author of several AFT publications. Before joining AFT, Kirsten worked as an agricultural environmental planner for the Saratoga County Soil and Water Conservation District. She grew up on a dairy farm in New York. Kirsten earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Vassar College and studied nonfiction writing at the New York State Writers’ Institute at Skidmore College.
