Lane Sherrod

Lane joined AFT in May of 2026 as an Implementation Specialist based out of east Texas focusing on helping landowners, and producers implement sound conservation practices on the landscape. Lane was born and raised in Texas and holds a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife, Sustainability, & Ecosystem Sciences from Tarleton State University. Lane brings strong field and implementation experience from his prior work with Texas Parks & Wildlife and the Texas A&M Forest Service. He brings experience in coordinating projects and conducting habitat restoration, implementing prescribed fires, and forestry data collection throughout Texas. In his off time, Lane enjoys spending time with his wife, kayak fishing, and playing golf.
