Lou Marie Judge

Farmland Information Specialist

Lou helps with technical assistance requests, developing educational resources, maintaining FIC website content, and contributing to policy briefs, professional reports, and blogs. Lou has spent years working as a reference librarian at public libraries in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She has also been a research assistant at Harvard, a lecturer at Keene State College, and a resident archivist at The Greenhorns Agrarian Library. Lou has worked on several organic vegetable production farms in the New England region and has volunteered on non-profit committees and municipal councils over the years. Lou has built a wide skillset in agricultural knowledge preservation and dissemination in her varied roles, working closely with farmers, municipalities, and research institutions. Her research has been published by Litwin Books and Library Juice Press. Lou holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University as well as a Master of Arts in Film Studies from Eötvös Loránd University. She is currently working toward a certificate through Greenfield Community College’s Farm and Food Systems degree program.
