Peyton Hopkins

Southeast Implementation Specialist

Peyton Hopkins joined American Farmland Trust in June 2026 as a Southeast Implementation Specialist. A Tennessee native, Peyton is pleased to return home after building his career in regenerative agriculture and natural resource conservation. Before joining American Farmland Trust, Peyton managed a 2,000-acre regenerative livestock operation in Northwest Florida, where he developed grazing systems, improved forage production, and applied regenerative practices to enhance soil health and pasture productivity. He also served as a Natural Resources Technician at Eglin Air Force Base, supporting habitat restoration, wildlife management, and conservation projects on public lands. Peyton is an Army veteran and holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from American Public University.

He is currently completing a master's degree in Environmental Policy and Management with a concentration in Fish and Wildlife Management. His professional interests include regenerative grazing systems, wildlife habitat management, and collaborating with farmers and ranchers to implement practical conservation practices that improve land health and operational profitability.
