Robbin Marks
Director of Institutional Partnerships
Robbin expands and drives the long-term strategy and day-to-day execution of the institutional partnership program in concert with program staff. This funding - at the American Farmland Trust –from governments and foundations supports AFT's mission. Before joining AFT, Robbin was vice president of development and membership at the Environmental Law Institute. Before that, she directed foundation relations at the World Resources Institute, was the vice president for development operations, and was the senior director of foundation relations at American Rivers. Prior to switching to fundraising, Robbin served as an agriculture policy specialist at The Natural Resources Defense Council, working on sustainable agriculture and water resources. She began her career with the Maryland General Assembly as the chief of staff to the Maryland State House of Delegates and Senate budget committees and the Special Joint Committee on Program Open Space and Agricultural Land Preservation. Robbin holds a Master of Arts in politics and public policy, graduating with a fellowship from Rutgers University's Eagleton Institute of Politics and a Bachelor of Science in political science from American University.
